About Andre:
Andre Amyot, known world-wide as the PhotoCoach, has been
around since before electronic flashes; when we used to mix
chemicals with a scale. That’s almost old!!! Yes, Andre
graduated in photography on April 1st 1966. It’s not
a joke!!! He served his first 10 years as photographer for
the Air Force before opening his own studio in 1974. “It
was not always pretty. I had my tough years as well. After
early struggles, my studio grew at a rapid pace, generating
revenues nearing $ 2 million annually, making my studio one
of the most successful in North America.” That was cool!
In 1999, his partner made an offer he could not refuse…
well almost. Its then, he sold his controlling shares and
began his new career as a speaker, coach, and author, focusing
on both personal and business performance issues for the professional
photographer.
Some of his major speaking engagements have included: the
2000 and 2008 PPA Convention in Las Vegas and Tampa - the
PPOC Conventions in Toronto, Victoria, Ottawa and Calgary
in 2005 - and repeated engagements at the Texas School, Triangle
Institute of Photography, Image Explorations and Niagara School
of Imaging. Now, he travels to Europe to deliver my programs
to photographers who are amazed at the marketing techniques
we use of this side of the Atlantic.
Andre is quickly developing a strong reputation as a business
performance coach. His services focus primarily on profit-building,
cost-effective, high impact marketing strategies, and personal
motivation - the key ingredients to optimum studio success.
That’s what he teaches in his acclaimed PhotoCoach System.
His ability to deliver outstanding results is becoming common
place; it’s not unusual to see photographers achieving
a 700% revenue and profit growth. He has clients all over
the North American continent, in Europe and the Caribbean’s.
His second book and newest release, Photography, From Passion
to Profits is now distributed around the world through the
www.photocoach.com web site and with different sponsors. This
book outlines a very different outlook on how photographers
need to assess their business and gives tips on how to increase
their creativity by making their studios more profitable.
Andre has written several articles for association magazines,
among them: "Adventures in Executive Portraiture"
published in Professional Photographer magazine. His other
book, The Art & Techniques of Business Portrait Photography
was released in 2003. Published by Amherst Media Inc., this
unique book covers both the technical and marketing aspects
of "business portraiture."
He also publishes a newsletter, "The Lumen Factor,"
which is free to subscribers and focused on studio management
issues.
Andre has also served as president of a few photography associations
including the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC).
He is also a nationally accredited juror for photography exhibitions
and currently served 2 years as Chairman of the National Exhibition
Committee for the PPOC. Andre’s current mission is to
help professional photographers achieve both personal and
professional success.
